The wildlife experience in South Africa offers quality game viewing and the rates usually include accommodation and all meals, as well as game drives and walks. We recommend you check in advance what facilities and activities are included in the rate.

South Africa proudly celebrated 100 years of wildlife conservation with the Centenary of the Kruger National Park In 1998. This significant milestone includes the growth of the numerous Private Game Reserves and Small Game Lodges which have been founded during the past 100 years.

The first private game reserves in South Africa were incorporated to form the Sabi Sand Wildtuin in the 1950's, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. Other reserves that followed this example include the Timbavati. Since then other areas have proliferated, and wildlife has been re-introduced into Private Game Reserves and Sanctuaries in the Eastern Cape, Limpopo (Northern) Province, North West Province and more recently The Western Cape.

Many of these exciting wildlife initiatives include working in conjunction with rural communities for the direct benefit of the community and the environment, and often guests have the opportunity of experiencing these programmes in action.
